HANSON FERRY, a town on the Grande Ronde River in the southwestern part of Asotin County. The first family settled there in 1882 John Hansen, his wife and two 50115 Frank and Henry. The latter has been postmaster since the office was established there in 1890. The change in the spelling occurred when the postoffice was named. (Henry Hansen, in Names MSS., Letter 286.)
