HIDDEN, a town in the southwestern part of Clarke County. The place was formerly known as St. John, but as there was a railroa station of that name in Oregon, Trainmaster John T. Foster at Vancouver was asked to secure a new name. He chose the name Hidden in honor of L. M. Hidden, who built the railroad in that section about 1905. (W.
