MORA, a postoffice at the mouth of the Quillayute River in the southwestern part of Clallam County. Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Baich named the place Boston but so many letters for Boston, Massachusetts, were sent to the little office near the Pacific Ocean that K. O. Erickson, the next postmaster, had the new name substituted and thus honored his home town in Sweden. (Mrs. Frank T. Baich, in Names MSS., Letter 553.)
