Oceanview Pacific County, Washington
OCEANVIEW: Early resort subdivision on Robert Gray Drive and Willows Road south of Seaview. Developers interested in attracting Oregon vacationers at the turn of the century named the subdivision Oceanview because of its location on a butte overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Fishing Rocks in the tidal water below the butte were a favorite ocean fishing spot for many decades. Accretion has surrounded or covered the rocks in recent years. Ocean View was also the earliest name of Jonathan Stouts resort in 1880 at what became Seaview.
