Brem River (Post Office) adopted 4 September 1947 on 92/NW, located at Salmon Bay Steamer Landing. Form of name changed to Brem River (Settlement) 1 April 1972 on 92K-J; subsequently changed to Brem River (locality).
Brem River Post Office was opened 25 February 1948; closed 30 April 1965. "...the site of a large abandoned logging camp." (Sailing Directions, Vol 1, 1990, p.246) Note that a few small buildings or houses are visible on air photographs; not known whether this location is inhabited.
