Lasqueti (Post Office) adopted 21 July 1944 on C350. False Bay (Landing) adopted in the same location 2 November 1950 on 92F. Form of name changed to Lasqueti (community) 31January 1983 on 92F/8. Configured as a dual name "False Bay (Lasqueti PO)" for display on federal maps. The dual name was dismantled July 1993: False Bay (community) and Lasqueti (Post Office) are separate entities, and both names will be labelled on BC maps.

Lasqueti Post Office was opened 1 May 1911, the island having being so-named in 1791 by Narvaez, after Juan Maria Lasqueti, a prominent Spanish naval officer.
