"Tzuhalem (not Tzouhalem)" (settlement) adopted in the 10th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 30 June 1911. Spelling changed back to Tzouhalem (community) 27 April 2000 on 92B/13, being the long-established, preferred local spelling, confirmed April 2000 by Cowichan Tribes (file V.1.38).
