Goose Bay (Cannery) adopted 3 June 1947 on C.3778. Cannery closed by mid-1950's but Union Steam Ship Company continues to make regular calls. Form of name changed to Goose Bay (Landing) in the 1966 BC Gazetteer, 31 December 1966.
