Osprey Lake (flag station) adopted in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, located at the east end of Osprey Lake as labelled on BC map 1EM, 1915. Application altered and form of name changed to Osprey Lake (Post Office & Station) 2 March 1950 on 92H; now located at L4171. Name rescinded 7 March 1978 on 92H/NE. Osprey Lake flag station was established by CPR (c1912 ?), situated on L4375 at the extreme east end of Osprey Lake. Princeton Crossing Post Office was opened 1 July 1914, situated on L2103; so-named because this was the first crossing of Trout Creek by the old trail from Princeton to Okanagan Lake. Re-named Mazama Post Office 1 February 1917 (still located at L2103). Post office moved to L4171 and re-named Osprey Lake Post Office 3 April 1950; Osprey Lake Station was relocated to L4171 at about the same time. Osprey Lake Post Office closed 31 October 1951; Osprey Lake Station closed soon after.
