Cheekye (Station) adopted 6 June 1957 on 92G/14 as labelled on BC map 2B, 1914; form of name changed to Cheekye (settlement) 12 September 1972; subsequenlty changed to Cheekye (locality).
PGER station named in association with Cheekye River. Cheekye Post Office was opened 16 October 1924; closed 8 August 1931.
