Adopted 26 April 1999, as submitted by developer United Properties; this is a $100 million self-contained waterfront community that will include 250 homes, a marina, commercial & recreational core; slated for occupancy late 1999 (file S.3.51).

So-named because of the community's location at the mouth of Furry Creek, in turn named after trapper-turned-prospector Oliver Furry, who in 1898 staked the claims that eventually became the Britannia Mine. See Furry Creek.
