Confirmed 3 May 1951 on 92 G. Form of name changed to Garibaldi (community) 15 April 1982 on 92 G/14. Form of name changed to Garibaldi (locality) 29 April 1983 on 92 G/14.
Daisy Lake Post Office was opened 1 May 1916; name changed to Garibaldi Post Office 1 July 1932.
