Origin Notes and History of Eddontenajon

Adopted 12 March 1984 on 104H, referring to the community and small commercial centre (also called Tenajon or Tenajon Centre) on Stewart-Cassiar Highway approximately 1 km east of Eddontenajon Lake. Not to be confused with the original Eddontenajon Post Office (now called Iskut) located about a couple of miles further along the highway, north of Eddontenajon Lake.
