Annis Post Office was opened 1 March 1903, named by the first postmaster after his grandmother; closed 1 June 1906; re-opened 7 October 1907; closed 31 January 1917. At the time of closing in 1917, the post office was located on NW 1/4 Sec 17, Tp 21, R 8.
