Cheslatta (Post Office) adopted 7 February 1947 on 93SW; re-approved 6 May 1954 on 93 F (file N.1.54). Identified in the 1966 BC Gazetteer as Cheslatta (settlement). Form of name changed to Cheslatta (locality) 29 November 1984.
Cheslatta Post Office opened 26 August 1942, situated on Lot 901; closed 27 October 1950.
