Nancut (Community) adopted 12 December 1939 on 93K. Name changed to Yekooche (locality) 28 March 1991 in keeping with local usage (name change requested by Tl'Azt'En Nations, formerly Stuart-Trembleur Band, at Tachie). Name change approved by DIAND 19 January 2000.
