Ahbau (locality) adopted 5 October 1960 on 93 G/8E, as labelled on BC map 3A, 1919; not "Ahbaus House" as spelled on BC map 3A, 1914 & 1915; nor "Ahbau House" as labelled on BC map 1G, 1916 et seq. BC Forest Service reported in 1959 that there is very little, if any, river traffic so this landing is not used. Form of name subsequently corrected to Ahbau (former locality), as labelled on 93G/8E.
