Big Lake Ranch (Post Office) adopted 2 August 1951 on 93 A/5 at 53 23 - 122 52. Altered application 16 May 1966 on 93/SE. Formof name changed to Big Lake Ranch (Locality) 15 December 1982 on 93A/5.
Big Lake Ranch Post Office opened 15 May 1941, situated on Lot 170. Closed 19 February 1946; re-opened 15 July 1946. Sometime previous to August 1960 the post office was relocated to SE 1/4 Lot 9660; then moved to Blk A, Lot 8279 (1964); then moved to Lot 9660 (1965); then moved to E 1/2 L8284 (1967), etc.
