Origin Notes and History of Anderson

References to Anderson that document the origin of its place name

Anderson (locality) adopted 5 October 1960 on 93G/8E, as labelled on BC map 3A, 1919 et seq, not "Anderson Landing" as had been labelled on BC map 3A, 1914 & 1915. BC Forest Service reported in 1959 that there is very little, if any, river traffic so this landing is no longer used. Form of name subsequently corrected to Anderson (former locality), as labelled on 93G/8E.
