East Pine (Post Office) adopted 11 February 1949 on 93P/SW, located at 55 43 - 121 12 (file C.1.43). Application altered 27 June 1967 on 93/NE to 55 44 - 121 13. Form of name changed to East Pine (settlement) 7 December 1970 (file D.1.54). Form of name changed to East Pine (locality), and coordinates adjusted 15 February 1983 on 93P/11.

East Pine Post Office was opened 1 May 1929, located on SW 1/4, Sec 2 Tp 78, R 21, W6M. By May 1946 the Post Office was located at Lot 1471 (date of move not cited in BC files). Post Office closed 31 May 1968; by date of closing, the post office had been variously located on Lot 1469, Lot 505 and Lot 1468 (chronology not cited in BC files).
