Cortes Bay (Post Office) adopted 6 December 1956 on 92K. Form of name changed to Cortes Bay (community) 31 May 1982 on 92K/2.
Seaford Post Office was opened 1 November 1917, located on Lot 858, Sec 13; closed 18 January 1924; re-opened 5 May 1924. Name changed to Cortes Bay Post Office and relocated to SE 1/4 Sec 10, 16 March 1957. Closed 17 October 1973.
