Bull River (Post Office & Station) adopted 12 December 1939 on 82/SE as labelled on BC map 4D, 1913, and on BC map 1EM, 1915, and as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Form of name changed to Bull River (Station) 7 December 1950 on Columbia River Basin manuscript 53. Form of name further changed to Bull River (Locality) 29 November 1984 (Ottawa file 203-2).
