Earliest known reference to the named settlement is March 1912; identified as Ta Ta Creek polling station in the federal election, 1917. (June 2001 advice from Castlegar historian Greg Nesteroff.) Ta Ta Creek Post Office was opened 17 July 1924; closed 31 December 1929; re-opened 1 November 1935.
