The name might mean "container filled with water." The place had a small fortified hill and many people lived there. This place is now the Aguilar house. (Huu-ay-aht Place Names in the Chief Louie Nookemus historial accounts, c1964, shared September 2009 in the context of the Maa-nulth Treaty.)
