Brigade Lake (Post Office) adopted 7 June 1927, as labelled on BC map 1EM, 1915. Position altered 2 March 1950; position altered again 4 June 1959. Form of name subsequently changed to Brigade Lake (Settlement) then to Brigade Lake (Community).
