Canford (Post Office & Station) adopted 7 April 1949 on 92I/SE, as labelled on BC map 2B, 1914. Form of name changed, and coordinates adjusted, to Canford (Station) 16 January 1958; further changed to Canford (Locality) 23 October 1979 on 92I/2. Also previously approved as P.O. October 6, 1936 on 92I/ W. Post Office closed August 31, 1973.
