"Crescent Bay (steamer landing), formerly Farrington's Landing" identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Crescent Bay (settlement) adopted 7 October 1947 on Columbia River Basin manuscript 10; form of name subsequently changed to Crescent Bay (community); an established local name.
