Corra Linn (station) adopted 5 March 1959, as identified in CPR timetables from February 1942 or earlier. Name rescinded 24 December 1970. Reinstated as Corra Linn (locality) 23 February 1976.

Named by CPR in association with nearby Bonnington Falls; in Scotland, Bonnington Linn and Corra Linn [waterfalls] are about 1/2 mile apart on the River Clyde.
