Arrow Park (Steamer Landing) adopted 5 March 1953 on Columbia River Basin manuscript # 18, located at 50º05'30" - 117º56'10" on the west side of the Columbia River, as labelled on BC map 1EM, 1915. Name rescinded 9 May 1974 on 82K/SW. Reinstated as Arrow Park (Landing) 18 June 1974 on 82K/SW at same location. Form of name changed to Arrow Park (locality) 13 December 1993 and coordinates adjusted to 50º07'00" - 117º54'00" on the north side of the Columbia River in Lot 9321.

Arrow Park Post Office was opened 1 December 1908; closed 29 May 1968.

CPR Steamer service between Arrow Park and East Arrow Park (connecting Arrow Park residents to Hwy 6 on the east side of the Columbia River) discontinued per CPR timetable 64, 20 April 1954l Interior Tug & Transport of Castlegar operated a ferry beginning in 1955. At some point the Department of Highways took over operation of the ferry (identified in 1959 government transportation services lists). With the construction of the Hugh Keenleyside Dam at Castlegar, and creation of the Arrow Lakes reservoir, much of this community will disappear ("The New Outlook for The Arrow Lakes", BC Hydro & Power Authority newsletter, June 1965, p.15). Ferry service to cease operation 31 March 1969 and the site of Arrow Park was abandoned and flooded. Arrow Park residents relocated northeast to Lot 9321 & Lot 12340 and continued to call their new location Arrow Park. Department of Highways ferry service re-instated May 1974, running from Lot 8037 (East Arrow Park) north to Lot 9321 (Arrow Park) according to 1988 advice from Highways Department, Nelson.
