Belleview (Locality) adopted 21 January 1962 on 82F/NW as an established local name, identified on Highways Department road signs (1959 BC Geographic Division culture check, file S.1.59). Form of name changed to Belleview (Former Locality) 6 July 1999 on 82F/13.
